Gabriela Silang was a badass warrior who took over her husband's role as the commander after his assassination in 1763. She was the first Filipina to lead an uprising against Spain. Although she eventually lost the battle and got publicly executed by the Spanish, she'll always be remembered for her leadership and bravery in fighting for independence.
